World Memory Championship – 2017

Squadron Leader Jayasimha, President World Memory Sports Council for India announces that the Registrations are opened for all the Indian Memory athletes who would like to represent Indian Memory Contingent at World Memory Championship 2017.

The World Memory Championships will take place in Shenzhen, China from December 5th – 8th 2017. The Indian team would leave for China on 3rd December so as to reach Shenzhen on 4th. Attend the inaugural function on 5th December and the Competition would be for 3 days on 6th, 7th and 8th December. We would leave Shenzhen, China on 9th December so as to reach India by 10th December 2017.

After successfully hosting the Indian National Memory Championship 2017 at Hyderabad with 345 participants with such a good performance, it is time for all the Indian memory athletes to come together to showcase India’s Brain power to the world. Besides, there is a prize fund of  $100,000 USD to be won.

The Indian World Memory Sports Council President Squadron Leader Jayasimha has three goals.

  • To produce a World Memory Champion from India in the next 3 years. We have already started grooming and nurturing youngsters in this direction so that we can at par or overtake China in Memory Sports
  • To host World Memory Championships in India in 2020. The official announcement to this effect will be made soon once we complete the requisite formalities. Hosting World Memory Championships in India will really boost Memory Sports in the Second Most Populous nation in the World.
  • To make India No 1 through fertile/ Creative brains and make mentally healthy India and also to help students & adults to lead a successful life by learning & Practicing Memory Sports.

We also have to ensure that Passports are valid and get Chinese Visa approved well in advance.

We also have to learn, practice and fine tune our techniques which will stand with the International Competition. Towards this, we have a special World Memory Championship training being undertaken by Squadron Leader Jayasimha in Hyderabad from 23rd October to 02 December 2017 on a daily basis.
