345 Participants from all over India have taken part in the Indian National Memory Championship held  on 15th October 2017, Sunday at Jal Vihar, Necklace Road, Tank Bund, Hyderabad says Squadron Leader Jayasimha, President World Memory Sports Council for India. This makes it the biggest ever National Memory Championship as on date in India.

15th October 2017 was an eventful day. In spite of the Police Marathon being conducted at the same time on Necklace Road, we could start the competition on time with all the contestants coming in. Jal Vihar had a festive look with so many tables and chairs being arranged for the participants. Huge stage with LED Screens in the hall and also outside for the parents & visitors.

The participants were issued with stationery, T Shirts and it was a grand event. Mr Phil Chambers, the Chief Arbiter World Memory Sports Council and Mr David Zhang, the President World Memory Sports Council Asia Pacific Region, PavanBattad from Pune, Mr Srinivasa from Bangalore, Mr Manjunath from IIMD, Mr Vedamangu, Mr Kadri sir, Ms LathaKathiravan, Ms Anitha from Kerala, Dr Vepa, Dr Fancis Xavier, Dr B V Pattabhi Ram, Mr PhaniPavanBhuvanagiri- CEO E abhyas, Mr JSP Raj sir, the Chief arbiter from India& Memory Mantra team, Mr Anthony sirfrom St Anthony Schools, Colonel V Ramulu sir – Secretary APSWREI Society, Mr N Nageshwara Rao, MD NCS Group of Companies, Mr NischalNarayanam CEO NLS, Ms Vasuda – Head of India Book of Records, Mr Vishal Chavan, Ms GitanjaliChavan, Ms Madurima from NSB,  Mr Venkata Ramana, Mr Siva, Mr Naveen Sir,Dr JeetendraBabu, SIP Abacus Faculty and many other dignitaries including parents were present. Mr K K Raja from Exotic Events had taken care of all the arrangements beautifully.  Mr Chokkapu Venkata Ramana and L Venkateshwarlu have entertained the audience in between the championship and the results declaration.

We would like to thank all the parents, Government authorities, Teachers, Education institutions and all others who have directly or indirectly contributed to the success of this event.

We had three Girls topping the Memory Championship and 7 India Book of Records were set at the event in Memory. There were winners in Kids, Junior, Adult and Senior Category. We had trophies, Medals, Certificates and Cash prizes worth Rs 1,75,000/- being awarded to the winners and participant certificates to all the participants.

Lunch, Dinner and two times coffee/ tea/ snacks were arranged for all.

The event was covered very widely in all the major Regional and National News Papers and Television Channels.

The exuberance and enthusiasm shown by the participants and their scores in all the 10 Memory disciplines goes to show that Indian Memory Sports is headed in the right direction.

Wishing that the next year event will be bigger than this, we now invite all the participants from this Championship to register for the World Memory Championship 2017 being held at Shenzhen, China from 6th to 8th October 2017.

Special training sessions for the World Memory Championship 2017 are being conducted by Squadron Leader Jayasimha starting from 23 October 2017, Monday.
